A film szakon végzett a Pécsi Tudományegyetemen, majd fél évet töltött ösztöndíjasként az Oslói Egyetemen. A furcsa történetek, az izgalmas, új tájak és a bakelitlemezek kedvelőjeként filmforgatókönyveken dolgozik Magyarországon és külföldön egyaránt. 2017-ben Legjobb Forgatókönyvíró kategóriában Magyar Filmdíjra jelölték.
Az első regénye, az “Odakint sötétebb”, 2017. június 8-án jelent meg az Agave Könyvek kiadásában, és bekerült a Margó-díj 2017-es shortlistjére. Rendszeresen publikál novellákat a Black Aether magazinban és kísérőkiadványaiban. A második könyve, az “Éjféli iskolák” című novelláskötet 2018. június 5-én látott napvilágot, amelyet 2018-ban Aegon Művészeti Díjra jelöltek.
Több novellája, köztük a “Fekete talán” és a “Horváth Etele – A nagy kacagtató élete és kora”, helyet kapott Az év magyar science fiction és fantasynovellái antológiákban. “The Time Remaining” című novellája 2020. decemberében jelent meg a Valancourt Books World Horror Stories antológiájában.
Az “Egy másik életben” című film forgatókönyvéért 2020-ban Magyar Filmdíjjal jutalmazták Legjobb forgatókönyv tévéfilm kategóriában. Jelenleg az “Átjáróház” című első nagyjátékfilmjén dolgozik Madarász Isti rendezővel. A “Második kör” című rövidfilmje elnyerte a Diákzsűri legjobb fikciós filmjének járó díjat a 2020. szeptemberi BuSho Nemzetközi Rövidfilm Fesztiválon, és beválogatták a 36. Varsói Nemzetközi Filmfesztivál Short Special Screenings programjába.
He graduated in film at the University of Pécs, then spent half a year as a scholarship holder at the University of Oslo. As a lover of strange stories, exciting new landscapes and vinyl records, he works on film scripts both in Hungary and abroad. In 2017 he was nominated for the Hungarian Film Award in the category Best Screenwriter.
His first novel, Darker Outside, was published on 8 June 2017 by Agave Books and shortlisted for the 2017 Margo Prize. She regularly publishes short stories in Black Aether magazine and its companion publications. Her second book, a collection of short stories, “Night Schools”, was published on 5 June 2018 and was nominated for the 2018 Aegon Art Prize.
Several of her short stories, including “Black Maybe” and “Etele Horváth – The Life and Times of the Great Giggler”, have been included in the Hungarian Science Fiction and Fantasy Novels of the Year anthologies. Her short story “The Time Remaining” was published in December 2020 in the World Horror Stories anthology by Valancourt Books.
His screenplay for the film “In Another Life” was awarded the Hungarian Film Prize in 2020 in the category Best Screenplay for a TV Movie. He is currently working on his first feature film, “Gateway House”, with director Isti Madarász. His short film “Second Circle” won the Student Jury Award for Best Fiction Film at the BuSho International Short Film Festival in September 2020 and was selected for the Short Special Screenings at the 36th Warsaw International Film Festival.
